A person was caught in the Istanbul neighborhood of Umraniye, preparing to put an estimated 68, 550 bottles of fake and/or smuggled alcohol on the market for sales.

Hurriyet - August 10, 2006 - The gendarme team that caught 39 year old Cem S. was responding to a tip about a fake alcohol production in a depo in Umraniye. The products included 2,500 bottles of whiskey, 1,000 bottles of champagne, 50 bottles of raki, 35,000 bottles of vodka, and 30,000 bottles of wine.
